Celebrity Homes for Sale in NYC

Several homes with connections to major celebrities are currently on the NYC market. Here is a look at just a few.

Apartment Below Bette Midler Up for Grabs

An apartment located just below actress and singer Bette Midler’s apartment has been put on the market. Located on the 14th floor in the exclusive co-op at 1125 Fifth Avenue, the Upper East Side apartment has been listed for $20 million. The prewar apartment boasts five bedrooms, five bathrooms and a private elevator vestibule that opens into a gallery. Featuring 50 feet of frontage along Central Park, the apartment also offers a corner dining room with frontage along the park and great room windows that frame views of the Eldorado, the George Washington Bridge, the Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir and much more.

While the home has a small prewar galley kitchen, it allows for space for features such as a long hallway that leads to a wood-paneled library. Meanwhile, both the great room and the master suite boast a wood-burning fireplace. The master suite also features a master bathroom and two dressing rooms.

In addition to the $20 million price tag, the apartment also comes with a $14,014 monthly maintenance fee.

Bruce Willis Puts Central Park West Apartment on the Market

Purchased in 2015 by Bruce and Emma Heming Willis for $16.995 million, a Central Park West home is now on the market for $17.75 million. The 6,000 square foot duplex, which features six bedrooms and 4 and a half bathrooms, is located at 271 Central Park West. The home was previously owned by Milwaukee Bucks owner Wesley Edens and his wife Lynn Edens. The apartment was originally configured as two apartments, which were combined by the Edens to create a combined 150 feet of Central Park frontage.

The Willises, who also own a house in Westchester County that they purchased for $9 million in 2014, are reportedly selling the Central Park West home because they do not spend enough time at the property and they wish to “scale back.”

Former Robert DeNiro Penthouses Gets Another Price Reduction

Located at 164 Perry Street, an 11,000-square-foot home once occupied by actor Rober DeNiro is on the market at a discounted price. The so-called “mansion in the sky” was originally placed on the market in 2012 as an $80,000 per month rental. It has been on and off of the market many times since as both a rental and a sale. This includes being placed on the market in 2015 with a $39.8 million price tag and again in 2016 with an asking price of $25.5 million. The property is now back on the market with a price that has been even further reduced to $22.995 million.

Despite the fact that the property has not been able to sell, it does have a number of attractive features. These include several lovely landscaped terraces that overlook the Hudson River, double-height windows, a library featuring a wood-burning fireplace, a large garage and a master suite featuring two walk-in closets, a fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with a steam room.
