Puppetry Arts Festival of Brooklyn

The annual Puppetry Arts Festival, presented by Puppetry Arts New York, will be held on Saturday June 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on 4th Street at 5th Ave along the park at the Old Stone House.

 

The event will feature puppet performances all day with troupes from around New York City and beyond. You’ll see hand puppets, body puppets, rod puppets, marionettes, and more. Performances all day on the main stage. The festival includes puppet and mask making, face painting, popcorn, and more.

Featured performances includes Tuffy Tiger from the books series “That’s What Tuffy Tigers Do,” and an interactive, entertaining and surprising Paleozoic adventure: :The Dinosaur Troubadour from Field StationDinosaurs.” The Dinosaur Troubadour loves nothing more than sharing his knowledge of dinosaurs through song with children who are as interested in dinosaurs as she is. Plus, you’ll meet an unbelievably life-like roaring, breathing 15-foot juvenile T-Rex.

The first 200 kids will receive Puppetry Arts Gift Bags filled with tons of goodies.

Special guests include C3P-O of Star Wars, Pocoyo, and more!

Activities include $2.00 Games and Puppet-Crafts, $2.00 Snacks. $4 Bounce House and T-Shirt decorating, Wheelchair accessible. The festival will be held rain or shine.
