Born and bred in New York, Janine received her BA in Psychology and Communications from St. John’s University. Following graduation, she entered the New York real estate world working in real estate print advertising and marketing. She worked with huge developers, including The Trump Corporation, and assisted in the launch of the Trump International Hotel and Tower. Janine marveled over the skyscrapers and floor plans of the new developments she had assisted in marketing and realized she needed to get out from behind the desk and into the act of selling and leasing real estate.

In 1999, Janine started working for the Trump Sales and Leasing office, where she learned the business of real estate and the nuances of the New York City market. Janine worked hard gaining the knowledge she needed to become a sales agent and was rewarded with loyal customers who were drawn to her outgoing personality, her professionalism and her expertise of Midtown Manhattan. Due to her tireless attitude and extreme dedication, Trump Sales and Leasing named her the Broker Specialist for Trump Parc on Central Park South, a title she took very seriously by familiarizing herself with every aspect of the building. Janine credits her time at Trump Sales and Leasing for making her the unceasingly diligent, detail-oriented agent she is today.

In May 2012, Janine joined Keller Williams NYC. She has now specialized in luxury residential sales and leasing for over 25 years and has participated in hundreds of transactions in the most prominent buildings in New York City as well as closing sales in Chicago, Las Vegas and Florida.

Simply put - Janine Ballato is an outstanding agent. I hope my story will demonstrate the outstanding service Janine provided. We came to meet in the wake of a tragedy - my mother passed away unexpectedly and was the owner of 3 condominiums in NYC all of which were more than 20 years old. I have siblings that reside in three different states and we decided that it simply did not make sense for us to attempt to manage the properties. The task fell upon me to find an agent. I live across the country and had to try to find someone who was experienced, would work hard and could manage a transaction with executors in 3 different states - all without the benefit of any face to face interaction. I called a number of agents and they gave me their respective pitches. Janine impressed me with her intimate knowledge of the building, he no-nonsense appraisal of the value of the condominiums and what would need to be done to sell them and a guarantee that she would work to handle all issues connected with the sale. She fulfilled her promise and then some. She dealt with condo association in gathering all the signatures necessary for showing the condos. At the same time dealing with some trying tenants that were not thrilled with the prospect of moving out. She dealt with the contractors that needed to provide cosmetic work. When it came time to negotiate a final sales price - we couldn't have had a better advocate in our corner. She worked day and night (literally - I have the emails and texts to prove it) dealing with many offers to get the best prices for all three condos. She dealt with our real estate lawyers in one state and our estate lawyers in another and helped facilitate getting all the signatures from all of us for closing all three properties. She made what could have been an excruciatingly painful process completely workable because of her exceptional experience and who she is as a person. Although my mother's passing was the heartbreak that connected us, I feel fortunate that our path's crossed and I recommend her without hesitation.
