Marianne Camille Spraggins is an attorney and recovering investment banker with extensive experience working at major Wall Street firms with debt issuers, institutional investors and private equity clients. A proud native New Yorker, she is a serial renovator, wellness advocate, political junkie and fashionista. She is now pursuing a lifelong passion for all things real estate, immersing herself in the sale and leasing of residential, investment and commercial properties. Her sweet spot is creating value for her clients – from spotting market opportunities for investors to helping residential clients transform fixer-uppers into dream homes.
Marianne is a former Director of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (S.I.P.C.), the federal agency that protects investors in the event of broker-dealer failure and to which she was appointed by President Bill Clinton and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. She also formerly served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic National Committee, Co-Chair of its Credentials Committee and as a Super Delegate to several Democratic National Conventions. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the New York City Campaign Finance Board that provides matching funds to citywide election candidates, GrowNYC, the sustainability pioneer that, among other environmental initiatives, operates the City’s popular green markets and the West Harlem Development Corporation. She received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. in English Literature from Boston University. She is a member of the Bar of the State of New York.
