Fluent in English, French and Arabic, Moulay Yacoubi is a Moroccan-born, and Paris-raised, New Yorker, blessed with the gift of being able to relate to others. He’s a renowned hairstylist whose always had a passion for the bold Art Deco architecture, beautiful spaces, and prime real-estate that defines Midtown Manhattan. It’s this passion and love for the neighborhood he’s called home for over 20-years that has led Moulay to real estate.
He has a trained eye that serves him well as an enterprising real estate professional. Moulay started his career modeling and doing hair. He learned the famed dry cutting technique from master stylist John Sahag and Razor cutting under British-great Michael Gordon, the founder of Bumble and Bumble and was also trained under Vidal Sassoon. Moulay has worked in several fashion shows in Paris, Milan, London, NYC and LA with top editorial stylists of the time. These titans of aestheticism empowered him to perfect his distinctive modern-Classic technique, but it was his desire to be among the best in the real estate world that steered Moulay to Keller Williams NYC. Moulay has been featured as a leading stylist on CBS, NBC, Fox, and E! News. He’s appeared as a guest judge of the 2010 season of Bravo’s “Shear Genius”. His work has graced the covers and pages of established international magazines.
Always reliable and forever a good listener, Moulay’s talents and work ethic positioned him to work styling leading celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sigourney Weaver, Brooklyn Decker, Helena Christensen, Uma Thurman and many more.
