New Condos and Apartments Coming to NYC

New developments are constantly on the horizon in New York City, as the demand for housing continues to be on the rise. To meet that demand, local officials and developers frequently work together to bring new housing units to various parts of the city. Here is a look at some of the new condos and apartments that will soon be available for those who are looking for a place to live in NYC.

New Condos Soon to be Available in Jersey City’s Arts District

Sales are ready to begin at a new 429-unit condo project in Jersey City. Called Park and Shore, the 28-story tower is being developed by Toll Brothers City Living and will bring 242 apartments to Provost Square. Following a soft launch on July 5, the development has already experienced brisk sales activity. Apartments in the building start at $400,000 and go up to $1.3 million, with condos coming in configurations ranging from studio through to three-bedroom variants and apartments ranging in size from 563 square feet to just over 1,300 square feet.

Designed by HLW International, some of the condo features include floor-to-ceiling windows, kitchens equipped with Bosch and Thermador appliances, white oak flooring and in-unit washers and dryers. Amenities include a sky lounge on the 28th floor equipped with a kitchen, a billiards table and an outside terrace with a fire pit, a television and views of the Manhattan skyline. The seventh floor offers an additional terrace that comes complete with a swimming pool. Other seventh floor amenities include a children’s play area, a dog run and a fitness center.

As part of the three-building development project that Toll Brothers is working toward completing, the company has also created a pedestrian plaza known as 10 Provost. Located between Morgan and Bay streets, the plaza features cobblestone paths and seating while the Grove Street PATH station is located right next to the square. The development project has also included the construction of the 417-unit The Morgan and a 550-seat theater. Work on 10 Provost is expected to be completed in the fall of 2018.

1,800-Unit Long Island City Apartment Building to Debut in the Fall

Spread out over three skyscrapers, a Long Island City apartment development known as Jackson Park is bringing 1,800 residential units to the area. Developed by Tishman Speyer, the development will feature a large amenity center along with a 53-story, a 44-story and a 42-story tower. The towers will be located at 28-34 Jackson Avenue, 28-10 Jackson Avenue and 30-02 Queens Boulevard respectively. The five-story amenity clubhouse, which will be connected to all three rental buildings underground, will boast an outdoor pool and lounge. All four of these structures will then be connected to a 1.6-acre private park.

The new towers, which should be available this fall, are also located across from the massive JACX office complex. The office complex will bring two 26-story towers to the neighborhood. WeWork has already signed for a 250,000-square-foot space at the complex, while other features will include a coffee shop, a food hall, restaurants and a fitness center.
