It's time once again to lace up your sneakers for a great cause — the AIDS Walk New York will be held on May 18th!
This year marks the 29th annual AIDS Walk New York, the east coast’s first and the world’s largest AIDS fundraising event. The event will raise vital funds for GMHC and more than 40 other AIDS service organizations in the tri-state area.
This year’s AIDS Walk New York continues to keep the public engaged with the HIV/AIDS crisis through community-driven outreach, a strong social media presence, and, as always, a compelling street campaign. The event has again partnered with Presenting Sponsor Duane Reade, which has become the first in AIDS Walk history to surpass $1 million in cumulative sponsorship.
AIDS Walk New York is one of the largest, most diverse, and highly anticipated annual events in New York City. Last year, 30,000 walkers and 2,500 volunteers raised more than $5 million for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and advocacy programs. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $133 million to fight AIDS in the tri-state area, and the AIDS Walk movement has raised more than a half-billion dollars nationwide.
