Bacon and Beer Classic: Head to Citi Field on April 25 for the annual Bacon and Beer Classic! The Bacon and Beer Classic is a one-of-a-kind event hosted inside baseball parks and stadiums across America. It is a premier experience focused on traditions where one’s nostalgia of baseball meets their love for bacon and beer. As the attendees walk through the stadium they will get a taste of history through the hundreds of craft brew samples and mouth-watering bacon-inspired tastes local restaurants cook up. Music will get people dancing, interactive games will bring out their inner kid, and the cooking demos and beer schools will teach everyone – from the expert to the novice – a thing or two about bacon and beer. General Admission ticket holders will gain entry inside the stadium for 3 hours of beer and bacon tasting. VIP ticket holders gain entry one hour earlier than GA. All ticket holders also receive a complimentary souvenir tasting glass and have access to educational sessions, the game area and live entertainment. This is a 21+ only event.
2nd Annual Five Boro Craft Beer Fest: Head to Queens on May 1st for the 2nd Annual Five Boro Craft Beer Fest. This event features 44 breweries serving over 100 craft beers, many never-before presented and some crafted specifically for this event. Also on hand will be six food vendors and two rock bands, Stolen Rhodes and Lions on the Moon. This event will be held rain or shine, and all proceeds will go to benefit Grow NYC, a hands-on non-profit which improves New York City’s quality of life through environmental programs that transform communities block by block and empower all New Yorkers to secure a clean and healthy environment for future generations. This is a 21+ only event; photo IDs are required at the door. Friday, May 1, 7-11 p.m.
Staten Island Brewfest and Wing Showcase: Staten Island’s premiere craft beer event is back for its 4th year, and this time it’s better than ever. In addition to assembling a collection of some of the world’s hottest craft brews, the Staten Island Brewfest will be serving up the finest chicken wings that this borough has to offer. With both the restaurant and brewery list growing by the day, this is truly an event that no human will want to miss! General admission is just $30 in advance ($40 on the day of the event) and gets you access to: over 40 (and growing) craft brews from all over the country; your very own SI Brewfest sampling glass; the ability to purchase ten-packs of wing tickets that can be used at any of the local vendor stations. For the true connoisseur, the limited VIP package ($85 advance; $100 on the day of the event) gets you access to the exclusive Ippolito Lounge, which comes with all the of the general admission perks, plus: one hour early entry; access to premium stock from Goose Island; free appetizers and finger foods.
